Bio
Michele has degrees in piano performance from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, and the University of Nebraska at Omaha where she graduated cum laude. She has also studied at the Royal Academy of Music and at the Liszt Academy. She performs regularly with her husband Thomas Kluge on various chamber music series, and has performed extensively as a chamber musician and accompanist in the U.S. and Europe. Michele was chair of the piano faculty at Omaha Conservatory of Music (1999-2004).
"After seeing a news article on Simply Music, I immediately became intrigued with the Simply Music approach. It seemed like the key to keeping students eager to learn and to continue learning. For years, I taught traditionally and had even developed a traditional curriculum at a local conservatory, but had always felt that something was missing in regards to traditional methods. I was always trying to supplement students with different pieces because I felt that it kept them more motivated. My goal for years has been to keep students interested and loving music whatever their age. This method provides a fresh and energetic outlook to music education. I am truly impressed with the results I have seen in my traditional students that I have switched over to Simply Music. Anyone can benefit from this exciting, new approach!"
